Kenrahn LEVEL REGULATORS can be supported on their own double insulated PVC cable and easily adjusted to the switching level by raising or lowering the cable. To prevent tangling, a brass weight is provided to submerge the float chamber when the level rises. The switch action takes place as the float chamber passes the horizontal plane. They can be used to automatically fill a tank or empty a pit, and are ideally suited for use in storm water, sewage or sump dewatering applications as well as fresh water conditions.
Kenrahn Pressure Switches/Controllers
The DBSF-K and the DBSF-1RE Flow Switches have been designed for the monitoring of liquids in pipes from 1 to 8 inches. 25 to 200 mm Diameter. The Flow Switch is particularly suitable as a No Flow or Low Flow protection switch for general industrial plants, Sprinkler Systems, Anti-Fire Systems, Steam Boilers and Irrigation Plants.
Kenrahn LRS, (Level Regulator Starters) are designed to positively operate a pump on rising or falling liquid. They can be used to automatically fill a tank or empty a pit, using two Kenrahn level regulators. The economy unit has start/stop buttons to manually override the system when the liquid is between the level regulators, and can also be used for manual start and automatic stop for high or low level protection. Various specials can be built to suit your exact needs. The following examples can be used as a guide to help determine your needs.
Kenrahn LCS, (Level Control Starters) have been developed over many years to provide the most reliable electronic method of controlling submersible bore hole pumps in harsh rural conditions and varying types of water. The standard unit incorporates a magnetic contactor and an electronic water level sensor. The standard model can be used in many ways to irrigate or fill tanks, as shown below. Also special units can be made to suit your exact requirements, use the examples shown below to help determine your needs.
PROBES AND ELECTRODES
Kenrahn Irrigation Starters have been developed for the rural area and are robust and rated to suit harsh conditions. They are completely weatherproof and pre-wired to save installation time. The standard model has a 28 hour irrigation timer and loss of pressure protection which makes it suitable for most applications including Travelling Irrigators, Side Roll, Drip, Fixed Irrigation etc.
Kenrahn TFS, (Tank Filling Starters) are designed to keep distant tanks full without the need of running costly wires between the tank and pump. The unit can be set to have between 1 and 48 starts per day and will stop automatically when the tank is full by sensing an increase in pressure as the float valve in the tank rises. Whilst running, the system is also protected from loss of pressure which can indicate a broken pipe or a pump malfunction. Various standard models are available to suit many applications whether pumping from a bore, river or tank with a centrifugul, piston or helical rotor pump. Special units can be built to suit specific requirements, Please contact our office.
The Kenrahn Turf Watering Starter is suitable for irrigation and lawn watering projects using a solenoid valve controller to automatically water sections in sequence and send a pump start signal to the TWS (Turf Watering Starter). The standard TWS is housed in a powder coated weather proof metal enclosure and is available in many standard and special combinatons to suit most applications. Economy versions are also available in plastic enclosures.
The Kenrahn Centre Pivot Starter has been developed over many years to be compatible with many styles of centre pivot or lateral move irrigators. They are completely weatherproof and pre-wired to save installation time. The standard model has a 24 Volt ac extra low voltage circuit to link the pivot to the pump. If the pivot gets out of line or stops, the pump will stop. If the pump stops, the pivot will stop.
Kenrahn TPS, (Twin Pump Starters) are primarily used for storm water, sewage or sump dewatering. The standard model can operate a two pump system on an alternating basis with three CR style level regulators. It incorporates two DOL (Direct On Line) motor starters with Manual-Off-Auto Selectors and indicating lights for pump run, overload and power available. Many options can be added to the standard unit.
Kenrahn PSS, (Pressure System Starters) Operate as a pressure system with inbuilt pressure switches to start on pressure drop and stop on pressure rise after a time delay to prevent short cycling and ensure that the pressure vessel is charged. The following diagrams show some of the methods used and special units can be built to suit your exact needs. The standard unit incorporates two pressure switches and provides terminals for a flow switch in case the pump has a flat curve. Twin alternating standard units are available with loss of pressure protection and include four inbuilt pressure switches.
CONSTANT PRESSURE STARTERS
The Kenrahn Hot Water Circulators automatically keep the water circulating in hot water systems to maintain water temperature in large commercial applications. Standard models are available with or without pipe thermostat options for 1 or 2 pump systems. Two pump systems can be supplied with 12 or 24 hour alternation of pumps with or without voltage free contacts for building maintainence monitoring.
Kenrahn "ALM" Alarm Modules, designed for use with "TPS" Twin Pump Starters, can be used as stand alone alarm annunciator panels for visual and or audible indication of alarm conditions such as, High or low level, Low pressure, Overload or any fault which may require remote indication. Many models are available on request with special features to operate pumps as well as indicate faults.
The KPS, (Kenrahn Pump Starter) is a range of motor starters that can be used to start motors that do not fit into a standard catergory like TFS, LRS, LCS etc. The control voltage is usually the same as the supply voltage and the models listed here can have many options listed on page 48 or special controls not listed. The standard models have terminals for external control pressure switches, level switches etc.
